I'm very intrigued with the whole process of childbirth. I mean from the time you find out that you're pregnant up till the time of labor, its nothing but intense pain and horror. In the Back Up Plan, this black guy gives his take on having children.
'Its horror, horror, horror. But then you see this beautiful moment. Then its horror, horror, and horror all over again.'
I supposed to you relate that to childbirth. I asked my mother about this supposedly 'breathtaking' experience. According to her, it is simple. Don't mess around and over-think the process and try to break it down and analyze it. Just take it as it comes.
That was coming from someone who only had ONE kid, me. NOT HELPFUL. So I continued my search of a better source of information.
Boom, my piano teacher.
She gave me an intense, super long explanation about the process, I mean she's had 3 kids, so I trust her with my heart and soul. Lol. Apparently when you have your contractions, it just like having your menstrual pains ONLY 70 TIMES MORE PAINFUL. *diezz*
That fact above, didn't calm me down in any way either. I can't even stand a muscle pull, let alone a fracture. Forget about 20 bones getting fractured AT A TIME. *resurrects and diezz again*
Let's say, you have a beautiful baby boy. You're all happy ever after and all that shizz? NO. There's still the breastfeeding, the late night cuddle sessions and how could I forget, THE DIAPER CHANGING TIMES.
Childbirth could be expressed as a pain in a behind, figuratively speaking. But it is not simple and certainly not at all times rewarding. Our mothers push us out into this world ( no pun intended ) because they believe that we will grow into charming adults with a good emotional and physical foundation.
If we screw our lives up, even after we find out that they have put their lives at risk for us, thats just nasty and insulting. Insulting not just to your own mother but to all the other women out there, fearlessly walking into the labor room with nothing but smiles on their faces. GO MOTHERHOOD.
:)
